Miss Karen

Bev began her training at the Wallasey School of Ballet, under the guidance of Senior Examiner Deborah Clark FBBO. Bev was a Senior Jazz Scholar with the BBO and taught street dance and Jazz in San Francisco whilst working at summer camp. After this she pursued a dance degree at LJMU and later completed a PGCE at Liverpool Hope University, achieving qualified teacher status in 2010.

Bev loves too many dance genres to pick just one (contemporary, release technique, ballet, tap, jazz, street dance) her favourite dance company is Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. Bev is a registered teacher with BBO and has both training and lived experience supporting Special Educational Needs (SEN) in education.

In 1998, while attending a dance summer school exchange at SAWDS in Bideford, Bev met her husband who was also dancing at the school. They currently reside in Bideford with their three children, five cats, and their dog named Cookie!
